There has been countless criticisms from many arguing that sachin has not delivered when India needed him most..In short he does not belong to ''Cometh the hour Cometh the man" category. They have many points to prove thier case and they say barring a few innnings he has not able to win many matches for India..
Okay then it becomes our necessity to counter argue with those men who pose these questions, cos the little master never answers anyone with his mouth, but he rather does it with his bat and rightly so...So lets take up the case...
They say only a few innings of Sachin has come in crunch situations... But by crunch situations they mean the matches where India has lost....To be honest if any other player has so many crunch situations thier record will be pathetic..cos India as a team has more losses and hence more crunch situations and henceforth the sight of sachin failing in crunch situations becomes a very high probablity...They say Ricky Ponting,Adam Gilchrist are very good during the crunch situations....but how many crunch situations they face, very little, compared to Sachin cos India loses every aternate match more often than not and this is not his fault or for that matter any other batsmen's in the Indian batting Line up's fault. Its because of the very simple fact that we do not have bowlers who can win matches for India...
Take the case of 2003 world cup,the main reason we came to the final was because of Sachin and it cannot be disputed by even the toughest of the critic...but again they said,he failed to win the worldcup..common guys was it his fault that India was chasing a mammoth total...
If Sachin was playing for a team which had the ranks of bowlers of calibre of Glenn Mcgrath and which had the killer instinct as the australian side, then take my bet it would not be an exagerated thing to say that Sachin's batting average would have crossed the magical 100 and also he would have been called a great player during crunch situations..So please take all these in to account before you criticize Sachin and remember you are not crticizing a simple man,you are criticizing a legend,a man who every one looks up to,a man who no needs to prove any thing more in this world.A man who may be little in terms of height when compared to others, but greater than the greatest peak in this world when comparing his achievements.
We donot know whether he will be there when the next worldcup happens in India in 2011 and the odds are very very less no matter how optimistic person you are....But looking at the young talents that we are seeing i cant stop thinking that the 2011 worldcup will be India's and if Sachin is there, then i think it is the greatest tribute that a country can pay to this man,who has brought joys to plenty around this world...
No matter what the future has for us in holds....
Sachin is the best there is,the best there was and
The best there ever will be
