Sachin---an Answer

There has been countless criticisms from many arguing that sachin has not delivered when India needed him most..In short he does not belong to ''Cometh the hour Cometh the man" category. They have many points to prove thier case and they say barring a few innnings he has not able to win many matches for India..

Okay then it becomes our necessity to counter argue with those men who pose these questions, cos the little master never answers anyone with his mouth, but he rather does it with his bat and rightly so...So lets take up the case...

They say only a few innings of Sachin has come in crunch situations... But by crunch situations they mean the matches where India has lost....To be honest if any other player has so many crunch situations thier record will be pathetic..cos India as a team has more losses and hence more crunch situations and henceforth the sight of sachin failing in crunch situations becomes a very high probablity...They say Ricky Ponting,Adam Gilchrist are very good during the crunch situations....but how many crunch situations they face, very little, compared to Sachin cos India loses every aternate match more often than not and this is not his fault or for that matter any other batsmen's in the Indian batting Line up's fault. Its because of the very simple fact that we do not have bowlers who can win matches for India...

Take the case of 2003 world cup,the main reason we came to the final was because of Sachin and it cannot be disputed by even the toughest of the critic...but again they said,he failed to win the worldcup..common guys was it his fault that India was chasing a mammoth total...

If Sachin was playing for a team which had the ranks of bowlers of calibre of Glenn Mcgrath and which had the killer instinct as the australian side, then take my bet it would not be an exagerated thing to say that Sachin's batting average would have crossed the magical 100 and also he would have been called a great player during crunch situations..So please take all these in to account before you criticize Sachin and remember you are not crticizing a simple man,you are criticizing a legend,a man who every one looks up to,a man who no needs to prove any thing more in this world.A man who may be little in terms of height when compared to others, but greater than the greatest peak in this world when comparing his achievements.

We donot know whether he will be there when the next worldcup happens in India in 2011 and the odds are very very less no matter how optimistic person you are....But looking at the young talents that we are seeing i cant stop thinking that the 2011 worldcup will be India's and if Sachin is there, then i think it is the greatest tribute that a country can pay to this man,who has brought joys to plenty around this world...

No matter what the future has for us in holds....

Sachin is the best there is,the best there was and

The best there ever will be

18 Wonderful years

18 years in International cricket and still continuing....Well if there is a time to write a article this is the time.....It all began 18 years ago when a small 16 year old boy wonder went in to the field in pakistan where the conditions where no way less difficult to that in a batte field..Not many knew that what they are seeing would become an all time great..a National Icon..when he scored his first test ton in england and saved the match for India many said that a star was born..when he scored a century in perth there were chantings that he is the next sunil gavaskar of india.....

The year was 1998,the day was April 24 to be precise the day he came in to existence in this world(his birthday)...A sandstorm blew across the deserts of sharjah a few days back to indicate to the world..that he is the next Bradman of world cricket...That day he showed to the world what many in India already knew, why he is called a champion of champions..he had single handedly defeated a champion side to help India win..Till date no one had single handedly destroyed a champion side

The list can be exhaustive..In this 18 years he has brought joy to millons, and it can be said that the main reason why Cricket has become an obsession in India is because of this man who had brought aggresiveness in batting in Indian cricket.

It was said that bookies began thier betting only sachin was gone...This 18 years cricket had many ups and downs....but it was due to men like sachin that even after the match fixing saga cricket remains to be the numero uno sport in India....

There is an old adage which says young kids speak nothing but the truth as they know no evil..so if you go today to a young one and ask,how would you like to bat.it would say ...I want to bat like Sachin Tendulkar...The old adage goes like this you can see GOD in the young minds....how true it is...we are seeing Sachin....

If Cricket is a religion then SACHIN is GOD....

Can't agree more!

Men may Come and Men may go.but GOD stays on......

Sachin,The Emperor

Sachin....A man who conquered hearts..whats special about him?hmm there might be many answers...Opponents fear him, team mates respect him and country men adore him.To me the utmost quality in him apart from cricketing aspects is that the way he has presented himself to the world..Imagine if any one of us had such fame, money, will we be able to handle it?There have been many instances where people with the above said gifts just were not able to cope up with thier fame.In short Sachin is a once in a Generation Star.

Its often said that Records dont often speak up the truth..Thats very true.the records of sachin dont actaully reflect his calibre as a cricketer..With due respect to Sir Don Bradman who is said to be the greatest batsmen to have graced the game,I would like to compare thier averages..Don stands at 99..Sachin's is on and around 56....Is that a big gap..if you look at just the numbers in terms of cricketing point of view it may be,but you are missing an important point..Pressure...The pressure to fulfill the expectations of a Billion people.Remember this you have to go to the field and perform each time keeping this in mind that a million of them are expecting you to perform miracles.

Well i can say this,it is a terrible feeling..when we have such a pressure beleive me you cant even do a simple thing right. Will Don Bradman be able to maintain such an average if had such a pressure..

If you take the clock to 10 years back, the Indian team had only one match winner and it was Sachin..if he is gone so was India's chance of victory. Will you be able to perform,if you know that if you commit a mistake India will lose..to be honest if any one is in that situation his hands will be shivering leave alone the thought of holding a bat and taking India home.

Well every cricketing fan and the so called experts will have thier own man as the greatest batsmen..I am not sure how many will have sachin in thier list..but for those who dont have sachin in thier list, you should sincerely consider the above facts and if you make up the list,i can tell without having a look at the list that sachin will be sitting at the top as an Emperor, just as shane warne had him,way ahead the rest in the same way as Don is way ahead of the rest in terms of averages.

You can have your list lined up with kings who are no less than one another in terms of ability..but in the end its the emperor who is Supreme.

If cricket is a Dynasty you will find many Prince's like Ganguly,Kings like Don,Ponting,Dravid,Hayden,Viv Richards and list is endless as the cricketing journey continues and you will find many who make this list.

But the bottom line is,

There can be many kings but there can be only one Emperor..

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.

Got any questions?
